July 23rd, 2010 “Healthy Parks Healthy People” Congress Proceedings
The Inaugural International Healthy Parks Healthy People Congress held in April this year was a huge success attracting 1200 participants from 37 nations. This innovative event achieved its goal of setting the agenda for a better understanding of how nature significantly contributes to human health and well being.
The comprehensive, five day program of the Congress was truly outstanding, with close to 250 presentations. Delegate feedback has rated satisfaction at well over 80% across all aspects and many of the international keynote speakers considered it the best conference they had attended.
The Congress also attracted significant national and international media attention, with over 100 stories generated.
The Chair and Congress Committee are delighted to announce that the Congress Proceedings are now available for public viewing on the Congress website. Due to the size of the event and complexity of the program, the proceedings have been released as a set of nine interactive PDF documents. PDF 1 – includes a complete index of presenters, PDF 2 -includes all the plenary sessions and PDF’s 3 – 9 include the seven concurrent session blocks delivered at the Congress.
